Symbolizes renewal, beauty, and the soul’s continual evolution. Centered within radiant circular patterns, the butterfly spreads its vibrant wings in balance and symmetry; a timeless emblem of change, emergence, and spiritual awakening.
Across many traditions, the butterfly represents transformation through surrender and growth: the journey from one state of being into another. Here, its colorful wings appear alive with movement, carrying the energy of freedom, lightness, and rebirth. The surrounding embroidered patterns, inspired by the visionary textile traditions of the Shipibo-Conibo people, reflect the interconnected rhythms of nature, spirit, and creation.
Brilliant shades of emerald green, crimson, violet, gold, and electric pink glow against the dark background like luminous visions appearing in the night forest. The circular composition evokes wholeness and protection, while the layered borders create a feeling of sacred containment as though the butterfly rests within a portal of transformation and possibility.
Perfect for altars, meditation spaces, ceremonial work, or sacred home décor, this one-of-a-kind textile carries the care, intention, and artistic spirit of its maker in every stitch. Both joyful and deeply symbolic, it serves as a reminder that growth often arrives through change, and that beauty can emerge from every stage of becoming.
Hand-embroidered in the Peruvian Amazon and sourced through the Aya Madre Healing Center near Iquitos, Peru, in support of traditional Shipibo artistry, sacred healing traditions, and the work of the Pangoza family community.
