Tree of Sacred Smoke Altar Cloth | Round | 13"

A powerful symbol of prayer, offering, and connection between the earthly and spiritual realms. Flowing from a ceremonial pipe, a vibrant tree unfurls outward in colorful leaves and curling tendrils, evoking the movement of smoke carrying intention, gratitude, and song into the unseen world.

Across many Indigenous traditions, sacred smoke is understood as a bridge between worlds; a way of cleansing space, focusing intention, and offering prayers to spirit. In this piece, the tree emerges directly from the pipe as a living expression of breath, wisdom, and reciprocity with nature. Its branching forms suggest growth through ritual, remembrance, and mindful connection to the sacred.

Inspired by the visionary embroidery traditions of the Shipibo-Conibo people, the intricate background patterns reflect energetic pathways and the woven intelligence of the natural world. Brilliant tones of crimson, gold, emerald, turquoise, violet, and white glow against the deep black fabric like visions illuminated in darkness, giving the piece a vibrant ceremonial presence.

The circular form symbolizes wholeness and continuity, while the flowing composition creates a sense of movement and expansion. Ideal for altars, meditation spaces, ceremonial work, or sacred home décor, this one-of-a-kind textile carries the intention, artistry, and spirit of its maker in every stitch.

Both grounding and transcendent, this cloth serves as a reminder that every prayer, breath, and offering has the power to become something living and beautiful.
